I started living a holistic lifestyle over 17 years ago because I knew then, the impact we as humans had on the earth. I wanted to walk softly on the earth and give back. I started religiously recycling, became a vegan, started gardening, buying organic and non-animal tested products. This made me feel like I was doing my part in the world, but I still wanted to give back more.

I took the knowledge from my education and started teaching classes on aromatherapy, cooking and preventative care lecture. I felt on top of the world until something changed, my health declined.

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia at the age of 25. However, the pain was not in my joints and muscles, it was in my lower abdomen. For the next 5 years, I saw over 15 health care practitioners in hopes to find a diagnosis. It was not until I visited a Naturopath and was tested for food sensitivities that I discovered I was sensitive to 4 types of food that contributed to or caused anemia, IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), hypoglycemia and Candida (overgrowth of yeast in the body). I had to alter my diet dramatically to get well and I succeeded, but not alone. I had a small army of Naturopaths, a pelvic floor physical therapist, a massage therapist, a counselor, an acupuncturist and love from my friends and family to help manage pain and keep focused on the prize of optimal health and healing.

Looking back now, as a “Candida Survivor, changing my diet and my busy lifestyle as an entrepreneur was one of the hardest choices I had to make and maintain. I had to simplify, get real and learn to listen to what my body was telling me. My body told me to slow down, breath, move more and cook. So I listened and over the next five years was able to finally feel “normal”, by my definition. We all have our own definition. Feeling “normal” to me was being able to eat food without reacting to an ingredient, to eat at a restaurant, to have energy and optimism, and to be able to travel without fear of reacting to foods while out of town. All of these things were constantly on my mind and the goal was to feel “normal”. Well, I did it! I reached my goal and now I help others reach theirs.

My own experience has inspired me to lecture, develop recipes and work with others who are suffering from food sensitivities, Candida and chronic inflammation in their bodies. I want to give back by helping my clients dissolve the fear of food, gain a healthy relationship to the food they are eating, and help them choose foods to cook to support their bodies to alleviate physical pain.


I received my training as a Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition’s cutting-edge Health Coach Training Program.

During my training, I studied over 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts. My teachers included Dr. Andrew Weil, Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine; Dr. David Katz, Director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center; Dr. Walter Willett, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University; Geneen Roth, bestselling author and expert on emotional eating; and many other leading researchers and nutrition authorities.

My education has equipped me with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and preventive health. Drawing on these skills and my knowledge of different dietary theories, I work with clients to help them make lifestyle changes that produce real and lasting results.
